ACT OF CONSECRATION

Prayer of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Loving Jesus, I consecrate myself today to your Divine Heart. I consecrate to you my body with all its senses, my soul with all its faculties, and my whole being. I consecrate all my thoughts, words, and actions; all my sufferings and efforts; all my hopes, consolations, and joys; and especially I consecrate to you my poor heart that I may love you and be consumed as an offering in the flames of your love.

Accept, O Jesus, my desire to console your Divine Heart and belong to you forever. Take control of me in such a way that from now on I have no other thought but that of loving you, no other life except living, suffering, and dying for you.

In you I place unlimited confidence and my hope to be pardoned of my sins by your infinite mercy. Into your hands I place all my cares, and above all, my eternal salvation.

I promise to love and honour you until the last moment of my life, and to propagate as far as I am able devotion to your most Sacred Heart.

Grant me the grace to find in your most Sacred Heart my dwelling place; there I desire to pass each day of my life; there I wish to breathe forth my last breath. Make my heart your abode, the place of your repose, so that we remain intimately united until the day I praise, love, and possess you for all eternity, and sing forever the infinite mercies of your most Sacred Heart. AMEN
