The preaching ministry of the Disciples of the Sacred Heart is yet the other aspect of their ministry as followers of Jesus. They carried out this ministry in a following manner;
Commissioned by Jesus:
Before His ascension, Jesus gave the Great Commission to His disciples: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).
Preaching is at the heart of this commission, to proclaim the gospel and invite people into a relationship with God. Thus we the DSH march out with that commision.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit:
On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, empowering them for ministry (Acts 2:1-4).
We too are filled with boldness, go out to preaching ministry to each individual whom we encounter in our day to day life by explaining the significance of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
We do Public Proclamation especially in our prayer gatherings or in the Church during the Mass as priests. We boldly declared that Jesus is the promised Messiah, who has the power of the forgiveness of sins through faith in Him.
