"Victoria Per Scientiam – Victory Through Knowledge"
Dear Parents, Students, and Well-wishers,
The Victoria School of Knowledge (VSK) is not merely an institution; it is the fulfillment of a childhood dream and a legacy of service. I grew up in a home where the chalk and the blackboard were symbols of hope. My father was a teacher, and indeed, almost everyone in my family has dedicated their lives to this noble profession. Being a teacher myself, the "Right to Education" is not just a legal concept to me—it is a divine calling. I felt a deep-seated desire to bring this right to the children of my own village, to ensure that the "crowning" potential of our youth is never dimmed by a lack of opportunity.
The name "Victoria" is a tribute to my mother, a name that signifies triumph. But as I have learned through my own journey of faith, true triumph does not come from easy circumstances.
There are times when I find myself focusing more on my challenges than on the character of God. I have realized that when my conversations with Jesus are only about making my life easier or giving me what I think I want, true intimacy is lost. In fact, I have often found myself more upset after praying than before! This led me to a profound realization: to truly lead this school and this community, I must desire Jesus above everything—above my family, my ministry, and even my own hopes and dreams.
To be a follower of Christ and to love Him as He desires, we must know His heart. In John 17:20-23, we see what was on Jesus’ heart just twenty-four hours before His death. He wasn't praying for His own relief; He was praying for us. He prayed that we would be one, and that we would know how much the Father loves us.
I have learned that our circumstances do not determine God’s love for us; the Cross alone expresses that love. We are not loved because we are "lovable"; we are loved because we are God’s children. This is the bedrock upon which VSK is built.
At Victoria School of Knowledge, we incorporate these Biblical principles into our foundation. We believe that education is the "torch" that ignites the mind, but faith and moral integrity are the "shield" that guards the heart. Our mission is to cultivate wisdom and achieve victory through knowledge, anchored in the unwavering love of the Creator.
I invite you to be a part of this family—not just to seek academic excellence, but to join us in a journey of character, unity, and purpose.
With prayers and blessings,
Fr. Kumud Chandra Nayak Founder, Victoria School of Knowledge
